Hear Ye, Hear Ye: We’re Selling Space On Twitter!

So, if you haven’t heard the great news, Twitter is finally selling South African-targeted Promoted Tweets and Promoted Accounts, and Dash Of Lime is the first to be able to bring it to you.

Dash of Lime is able to offer you, the advertiser, the following two elements:

  • Promoted Accounts: your account is promoted to relevant users to encourage them to follow the advertised account. This is a great offering to build your product’s Twitter following.

  • Promoted Tweets: the  usability is similar to Google Adwords and uses keywords to prioritise and promote your Tweet at the top of a relevant user’s stream. This is visible when the user searches a certain keyword and offers the advertiser a platform that encourages the user to engage with the promoted brand.

Promoted Accounts and Promoted Tweets can be geographically targeted, giving the advertiser the competitive edge.

Both these methods are based on the bidding model:

  1. Promoted Accounts: cost per follower (CPF)
  2. Promoted Tweets: cost per engagement (CPE)
